About Me: Tom Gautier, Photographer
Hello! I’m Tom Gautier, a passionate hobby photographer based in Rijkevorsel. At 44 years old, I’ve been capturing moments through my lens for quite some time now. Let me share my journey with you.
Origins and Inspiration:
My love for photography blossomed from an unexpected source: dog shows. As a hobbyist in the world of canine competitions, I faced the challenge of photographing these events in dimly lit exhibition halls. Determined to improve, I invested in a high-quality camera. Little did I know that this decision would ignite my passion for photography.
Learning and Growth:
I embarked on a journey of learning, attending various basic courses and workshops. With each session, my enthusiasm grew. Photography became more than just a hobby—it became a way to express my creativity and capture the essence of life.
Fotoclub and Beyond:
For several years now, I’ve been an active member of a local photography club. In fact, I currently serve as the club’s secretary. Being part of this community has enriched my skills and allowed me to connect with fellow photographers who share my passion.
My Focus:
While I’ve explored different genres of photography, I find myself most drawn to documenting events, like concerts, dance competitions, ... There’s something magical about capturing those fleeting moments—the energy of a live performance, the intensity of an artist’s expression, and the connection between people.
So, whether I’m behind the lens at a concert or immersed in the rhythm of a dance competition, I thrive on the interaction with artists and the challenge of freezing emotions in time.
Thank you for visiting my website, and I hope my photographs resonate with you as much as they do with me.
